Steam wallet code question [BEEN EXPLAINED]
How come when you use a steam wallet code it only gives you about 80 percent of it EG: 100 dollar steam wallet code gives you only 80 dollars and I'm not good at math so I don't know the percent of it sorry but I just wanted to ask
Why does it not give you the full amount?

I didn't make a ticket because I feel as if they wouldn't say, but maybe someone in the community would know

The currency value of the card is converted into your local currency exchange rate. You will receive the full monetary value of the card but at the converted rate.

Looking at your profile, you are from Australia. You bought a $100 US dollar gift card which coverts to $80 Australian Dollars. You have received the full monetary value of the card at the converted rate. $100 USD does not equate to $100 AUD.

No problem! Also ensure that your Steam Wallet is showing the correct currency for your location (AUD) and don't get scammed by purchasing $100 USD cards disguised as $100 AUD as you'll lose $20 AUD each time.
