Steam Black Screen No Page Loaded - Problem Solved 2017 ( Fix )

Hi Guys, I had this problem last night where my steam didnt load any pages on my steam App in Windows.Tried all the How to Fix online repair ands youtube Vids but nothing worked.How i fixed it was I saw the "steamwebhelper.exe" had error where it couldnt load the (api-ms-win-core-file-l2-1-0.dll ) It was missing. So how to Fix goto = "Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\cef\cef.win7" where the (api-ms-win-core-file-l2-1-0.dll) file must be to start the steamwebhelper to load the images and profile and store items.

This is the File to Fix or the Missing *(api-ms-win-core-file-l2-1-0.dll (32-Bit)* Download the 32-Bit version and open and copy paste the .dll file into the "Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\cef\cef.win7" folder then exit steam and restart then your Black screen problem/No Store/No Profile will work again.

*Before Starting Make sure Steam.exe Is Closed.*
Step 1 : goto "Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\cef\cef.win7\websteamhelper.exe" (Run to See what error is Given)
Step 2 : If Error Message Shows Mission/Corrupt (*api-ms-win-core-file-l2-1-0.dll*) then Download.
Step 3 : Download Link : https://www.sts-tutorial.com/sites/downloadCenter.php?api-ms-win-core-file-l2-1-0 (Open and Extract 32-Bit Version of .dll File)
Step 4 : Copy and Paste *api-ms-win-core-file-l2-1-0.dll* into yout *"Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\cef\cef.win7*
Step 5 : Open/Run Your Steam.exe and SteamWebHelper.exe aswell .You will see in your Windows Task Manager *SteamWebHelper.exe* Running with your Steam.exe.
Step 6 : Now Your Pages Should Load Normally and Work.

I really Hope This Will Help Some Of You Guys With This Problem.

Thank you SilentSuicide! This fixed the issue for me after I was pretty much tearing my hair out all yesterday trying other fixes.

I have a 64bit system, the 64bit version didn't work but the 32bit did. Not sure why, but who am I to argue? I can access the Store Page et al again! May the rest of your week be filled with a fine sense of wellbeing brought on by helping your fellow man, with a little spring in your step to boot.

dreaming_lad awe dude all my pleassure i had this problem with my steam n its annoyed me so much i spent 3hour trying to fix it n googling n watching youtube even reinstalled steam nothing work n dont know how i goto the webhelper n it gave me error with that .dll file name so ja i also copied the 64bit version first also didnt work but i saw that my steam main install was on the x86 program files then i copyed the 32bit n restarted my steam n steamwebhelper n it worked so happy victory after 3 hour of ball breaking haha but i am truly happy to help out why i posted this fix my first discussion post lol. much love to all of you guys for saying thank you.

It suck when there no one to help n make life easier to fix the problem and i am one of those ppl the simple n easiest way to fix the problem first time not by reinstalling n using all these other fix steam n google n youtube said jst made more work.

just simply remove steamwebhelper [ ironic name doesnt it ? ], steam will properly update itself then, issue is with browser put into compatibilty mode, sounds like someone from dev team doesnt have clue how to code stuff
