STEAM CAN'T RESTORE BACKUP

help me fix the problem valve/steam. when i click restore previous backup and click next and then browse my current backup files(UPDATED BACKUP) and select it. and when i tried to click NEXT it closes. but the steam is still there. HELP ME!

it takes time for me. i need the normal restore so that it can save electric in my internet cafe. because i struggle with my internet connection. thats why i only update one pc then restore to the others

nope. i dont have a solution yet. it gives ♥♥♥♥ to me. hahaha. i cant solve it all~

I hope this helps, what I did is copy first the pubg content ( * make sure that you name it identically because you will be deleting the content later on ) into C:Program files(x86) steam > steamapps > common and put it there. since on my steam application pubg is downloading what I did is right click on pubg then select uninstall and then relog-in then go to steam > backup and restore then locate the folder where you put it too( in my case its on C:Program files(x86) steam > steamapps > common ) then Next then go back to the folder then delete the content of the pubg that you copy on that folder. it works on me hopefully it works on you as well guys.

@K-Net is right. you must need to uninstall the game first then restore the game. it works fine on my problem. Hopefully it works on you guys.

still it will cost u a minute to do that or even half hour.

I don't have my steam installed in C:/, all of my steam files and game backups are installed in my D:/ folder since I didn't have enough initial storage for everything. Is there anything that I would need to do differently? It also isn't letting me select my common folder for restoration and I do not want to waste >200GB of storage..
