[Solved] Cant Delete Games From Favorites Category

when i right click on the game and click remove from Favorites nothing happen....
what can i do to remove the games from there ?

Are you sure you are looking at your favorites after "remove from favorites"?

That is the way to do it.

i click Remove from favorites and is still there !!
nothing i do works its stuck in there

You did try
- restart just Steam and if that is not enough,
- restart the computer?

try that also ... i even try to uninstall steam and install again .. still there

What if you use the list view and click the star in the list?

EDIT: Sure you didn't create a category called favorites?

What if you select the game and take another screenshot like that? There you showed AVP which is not one of the problematic games.
You can collapse the other categories if you want to do less drawing?

i did create a favorite catagory.. and ARK game just got in there by default ... and never got out
then i added rocket league and it did work to get it out .. try to add it again and uninstall it and poof its stuck there.. i try to install it again and now both are stuck there

Ok, no one ever creates a favorite category since its built into Steam as a quick way to categorize with two clicks.

Maybe you werent supposed to create one called that..
Did you use some other tool to organize categories?

So you tried going into categories and unchecking all categories for those games also?

that's what is weird there is no catagory to Uncheck.. its empty there

What if you add a new category called "test" or something and add them to it? Does it work like categories should?

You can select multiple games with shift click or ctrl click.

yes it is working... i did try to do a test and add 3-4 games and delete them and it works perefctly
only stuck with the favorites catagory that i cant delete the games from there

Ok, you creating a category called "favorites" must have really confused Steam since it already had a thing called that...
Why did you do that, didn't you know about the right click thing? Just curious.

Last things to try should be to disable and shut down any software that could be interfeering, it's probably not related but its easy to try.
Also any thing here you feel like you can try: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=3352-RYON-4107 some can be advanced.

You should try the Steam beta and if it stays the same then you can create a thread there and ask for help. lots of valve ppl there. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta

If that doesn't do it then:

Ever tried big picture mode? What if you try both the ways there? (unfavorite and remove categories)
If that doesn't do it then you could contact Steam about it here: https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithSteamIssue/?issueid=802
You might need to ask about the issue from a big picture perspective since the contact options are a bit weird..

If you make a ticket you should mention this thread in it and include the ticket ID in any bug thread you make on the beta group.

i try the big picture mode now and there is nor diffrence still cant delete the games
and i opend a ticket on steam support i hope they will fix this issue
and no i dident know it will confuse the system like that i dident know u can easy make it favorite without creating a catagory .. foolish mistake
