Data Breach? Just got Steam Guard spammed as if someone was trying to login.

So just now, I was getting spammed by my phone with new steam guard codes. Was like 10 of them. Just changed my password and it stopped, but the fact that my random email and password.. managed to be found out when I know at home things are locked down.. kinda fishy..

Anyone else just have this issue today? Has there been a data breach somewhere of user accounts? The way of the internet now and so many sites getting attacked.. makes me wonder.

Data breaches happen all the time but it could be any site you used really.

You should check your username and email on this site to see if you were in a breach recently: https://haveibeenpwned.com/

Very nice site! Yea it said a few items, however all the way back from 2010.. or even 2015.. Needless to say nothing at all recent and some of these sites were like Trillian and Myspace... things that well.. yea, havent been around in ages lol.

So yea, and I usually avoid social media and other things. Just trying to make sure nothing happened on Steam side.

Looks like someone is doing some account stuffing using the older lists... If you use that http://www.haveibeenpwned.com search and see a link about being on a paste list at the bottom I'd take a much closer look to ensure that you aren't using the posted password on any other sites that you care about.
