HDMI PC to TV stuck at 480p

Hi there,

I'm trying to run DOOM via Steam off my PC into my TV, hooked up via an HDMI. Whenever I launch the game it switches the resolution to 480p, not my PCs or TVs native 1080. I'm unable to switch back to 1080 whilst the game is running. Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this issue? Completely unplayable at 480p!!! Thanks!

Generally a TV will serve the very same function as a monitor does. Do you have your drivers correctly installed?

I just hooked up my previous PC to my brothers Samsung TV via HDMI and there where no issues at all.

Not sure which drivers I would need to install, generally when I run anything else TV/Films etc I don't have any issues with it only when running steam.

So basically it happens only in Doom? Since you own only that game hard to say if is a issue with that game or a general problem running any game via Steam.
