Destiny 2 steam overlay

They stated overlay will cause bans but had anyone tried to play destiny 2 with steam overlay on and gotten banned? Because they did not state on their site for steam and was wondering.

Can you even get it to run with overlay i tried the working method from beta but i can't get the overlay to work. So far tough it seems that even running the game on a clean win 10 can get you banned for some reason or another.

Nowhere on their page did it say that you get banned for using/trying to use an overlay of a third party program like Discord, Steam etc.

They explicitely say that the program will still run/work, just that the overlay functionality won't.

I tried it myself with the Steam Overlay yesterday, adding various .exe files (Blizzard Launcher, Destiny 2 exe), so far nothing worked for me but i still can play.

I doubt that any bans so far were issued due to the use of legit third party programs like the ones they mentioned on their help page.

Its not on the help page but people have gotten banned for seemingly no reason of using various hardware tracking programs and something similar did occur in the beta version

We did not (and will not) issue any bans for the use of overlays or performance tools, including Discord, Xsplit, OBS, RTSS, etc.

As stated above, they just don't work.

If you inject or hook anything onto destiny 2.exe your destiny will literally crash. No chances of getting a ban.
