Obviously those are all disabled.
Get off that broken OS and install Win10 64bit
Changing the setting does not work at all, i disable desktop controls and he will still do it anyway. And the box for the guide button to go to big picture mode is checked by default anyway.
Also if you can only be toxic than go away.
But what does any of that matter, Win10 is the more stable OS overall and supports much more.
Plus anything like data sharing, you can disable.
Also when i use windows troubleshooting tool on the xbox one controller it tells me it might not work properly on USB 3.0. Now serisouly wtf, xbox 360 controller has no issues there and a newer controller has a problem with USB 3.0?
The seconds part is not really a problem for steam forums.
Kinda sucks this controller is not really cheap and the only alternatives are: xbox 360 which is xinput controller but with a crappy d-pad, or very cheap dinput controller with same crappy d-pad.
Not really sure why there is such issues. Generally you never have a use for the Guide Button, as that is for Wireless only, or on actual Console. It doesn't really have any purposes on PC; aside from when having wireless perhaps.
Already check a variety of different cables, no changes. A game controller that stops responding after pressing even a button that is not often used is not worh 50 euro. Not to mention steam claims they support this controller same way they do with xbox 360 controller.
In Steam; for XBO you select XboxOne Controller in settings.
When using 360 Controller, you select Generic.
Even 360 Controllers will only show up as 10 buttons.
The Guide Button doesn't show up in JOY.CPL because it has it's own purpose, it's not a re-bindable button like the others are.
Overall there really is no reason for the Guide button to show up; that is an internal action button of the Controller, you can't use that button in Games.
Disable Windows ability to handle Drivers and go change your Controller Driver manually in Device Manager back to the one with the oldest date. Those actually work.
Again, the Drivers are not different, not sure how to get you to understand that.
However it might just be YOUR controller; since the Wired vs Wireless is a different connection; your controller is probably faulty.
