Massachusetts sales tax?
I was about to buy a game for $19.99 w/ a $20.00 steam gift card, but I can't b/c I have to pay a 10% sales tax. This has never happened to me before when purchasing games on steam - does anyone know if Massachusetts just released a sales tax on online goods? :steamsad:

Is this on steam or some other site?

I just tried to buy a game with steam wallet and no tax was charged before the final checkout

Taxes are determined by your payment method billing address

Did anyone figure this out? I just noticed i'm getting hit with taxes...Not sure how many times I've paid, but I KNOW FOR A FACT this was just implemented recently. What is going on? Why am I paying an extra 3 bucks for something that has NO physical properties?

New federal law changed to let states charge on digital purchases.

Quite a few threads about it since it went into effect earlier this month...
