Are you sure that is the only game installed? How many other games are there in the Steam folder? How much space does each one take up?

yes, at least i think so.. https://imgur.com/a/gVGfP

by right-clicking every folder in steam, i noticed that the whole 141Gb space is in the "steamapps" folder..

Click the "Common" folder inside the Steamapps folder and the games should be listed in there. You can see which ones are taking up space.

the common file has 4 file/games. 2 of them are currently unistalled (i think so) with only 100Mb space. the rest 2 of them are "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" and "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege - Technical Test Server" with 35Gb space each.

also in the steamapps files there is a "downloading" file with 80Gb space..

Steam > Settings > Downloads and at the bottom "Clear Download Cache." Then look again.

these are file files/folders in the downloading file https://imgur.com/a/vMO6T

You shouldn't need those. That folder should be empty if you don't have any downloads paused.

Mods and test servers.

Check steam directory, ~/.steam/error.log file
Mine now is something like 100G O.O
I haven't analyzed the file (with that content :), a few strings that I saw were some common errors even without proper description.
Seems like a big error in steam itself. I hope they'll fix it soon enough because it is currently unusable and it make all the OS unusable.

If it was a big error in steam itself, how come you had to dredge up a thread from 2017 to add your 2 cents? With 100+ million monthly users, wouldn't these forums be plastered with complaint threads about this?

I don't know. That was the first link from google.
As for the "big" part - that error makes my PC unusable. I had to connect external drive just to save screenshot for support.

Don't rely on a search result being first. "First" usually means "most popular", not "actually right".
Anyway, close Steam, delete the downloading-folder. Also, check if you've hidden something. I've seen it 2 times alone in the last week: people hide things from their library but don't uninstall them, resulting in Steam downloading, using bandwidth & space but not telling the user because the user explicitly asked Steam to not tell them.

So, have you hidden something?

Yeah, same way brought me here.
My steam error.log was *only* 46GB tonight, growing by 500 MB every second.

Valve could have done something very bad with last Steam Client update. (I'm on Linux by the way)

modern games are pretty big, doesn't rainbow six siege still have like 30+gb updates? Wouldn't be surprised if by itself it was 100gb now.
