Family Sharing Purchase Bug?
So my brother family shared his games on Steam for the computer we share. When I go on to my account and look under the games shared by my brother, 3 out of the 5, (Assassin's Creed II and IV, and CS:GO), say purchase when I select them instead of play. The other two, Path of Exile and Stranded Deep, I am able to play. (although Path of Exile is free to play so it doesn't matter). I don't really know why this is happening because my brother doesn't really use steam anymore, and I've been able to play those bugged games before, but then one day this happened. No, he is not online or anything while I'm trying to use these games, and neither are his friends accessing his library. I don't know what the problem is, and I've tried researching this a lot before, but no threads have helped me to fix this problem. Can somebody help...?

Some developers/games choose to opt out of the family sharing, of course you can't do AC because it's part of uplay, and needs a cd key to play, and csgo is vac secure and not allowed.

your brother account will need to confirm on his account to be able to play his games

i family share my games to a few of my friends and they get a message saying they don't have permission but they confirm it on there end and lets them have access to my games

but it sounds like it your access could be revoked and you will need to go on your brother account and sort out the family share

some games cant be shared you will have to buy them to play them

sorry if i haven't been much help

Games with third party DRM like UPlay can not be shared. Free to Play games can not be shared either, but it doesn't matter anyway.
CS:GO had its sharing disabled because Valve doesn't want it to be shared anymore.

Working as intended.

So does this mean that it's just that I can't play those three games but some other games I am allowed to? I just wanted to play CS:GO, and if I can't play it, then I guess I can just buy it.

CS:GO has been like that for months now, the game cant be shared anymore since people cheat the game and share the game off there friends so Valve make them pay for the game now
