steam video - additional component download link 404

Like the description says, is there perhaps an alternative link to use? I used the following url which can be found through the support page on this subject:

google searched to get the following download link which works

https://redirector.gvt1.com/edgedl/widevine-cdm/1.4.8.1008-win-ia32.zip

sadly the video streamer still does not work after copypasting the zip contents to the designated folder <steam folder>/widevine (in case of custom installation dir)
