GTA V SocialClub and Steam (2 accounts) How to use both?
So i own a GTA V Steam account that i usually play on normally but now i got my brother a Social Club GTA V account and i was wondering how i would be able to switch between those 2 accounts. Can i copy the steam version and add something to it that would make it the social club one? I really don't want to redownload all the files from the social club website seing i already have the majority of it for the Steam version. How can i do this ? please help

Pretty sure you can't do that, one social club account per license of the game.
The solution would be to get your brother his own Steam account and his own copy of the game.

EDIT: Or does your brother own the game already outside of Steam?

I paid for the game twice is what i mean.
I bought a social club version and linked it to my steam account (A long time ago)
And now i got another one but i don't want to link it to any Steam accounts i just wanna play it through social club directly. But my problem is that i already have the steam version downloaded so i can only run the game through steam and that makes it linked to my old account. I need a way to use the files from the steam version so that i can access the social club account (containing GTA V fully paid for) without having to redownload the entire 70GB for the social club version.

I would not expect that to work. If you can install gta 5 without Steam it probably won't work well on the same PC where you have the Steam version.

Why can't you just link it to a Steam account and give it to your brother? That would probably work better unless social club can't handle separate accounts on one PC even if both use Steam? Maybe if he had his own account on the PC?

You might want to contact rockstart about this but don't expect much.

EDIT: Huh, maybe it will work?

I know that some games have similar file systems that can be used in this fashion. I hope this works for you!

Not sure if you ended up solving this since it's a pretty old post but I have one that I purchased through steam which gets installed in the steam folder and one purchased from rockstar which gets installed in the program files. I haven't had any problems with this setup. I would note that they both use the same folder for settings so if you change any audio or video settings in one it changes them in the other. They also share the user music folder. There might be a way around that but this isn't a problem for me so I never bothered looking into it.

My brother and I have one computer. I cannot play my character. I bought my own GTA V but still in the same computer. I change the opened steam to my steam, but still his characters appear. What should i do?

You need a diffrent Windows login user, so switch user also split same access on save files.and what ever you login at what steam account match to each of you, dont screw that up or it will be same as you have now.
