How do i unlink a controller from my steam account?

let me make this perfectly clear if your fix does not involve completely removing the controller from steam entirely so steam itself will not link to my controller leave now and dont comment. I simply want to completely disconnect my controller from steam permanently so steam wont ♥♥♥♥ with my gameplay anymore as i was having problems with many games that simply will not function. I am using a PS4 controller if that matters at all.

Open steam in big picture =》go to settings =》controller section and your controller should show up. If i'm not wrong there should be an option that unlink the controller with steam.

I have done that it links back up every time i start steam. I want a PERMANENT unlink

I have the same issue, I close steam when I want to use my controller, but it aint permanent.
