Help with AverMedia Live Gamer HD 2 Capture Card and Sound Issues...

Hi everyone, I took the plunge and got everything I needed to set up 2-PC streaming/gaming and capture of consoles. It's going quite well!

BUT I'd like to transition from only playing single player games with my own commentary to playing with OTHER people/teammates and having discussions (or even having viewers join in to chat as has already been requested).

I'd LOVE to do this. BUT a few issues:

1) it would seem I'm not able to capture chat on my capture card's LINE IN port which is supposed to be how chat from both consoles and PC's gets captured in my streaming software (I'm using OBS 20.0.0)

2) I only want to capture incoming chat from others as my own voice is already being captured via a good USB cardioid mic - Audio Technica ATR 2500. To do this I've split the signals of incoming chat coming to a gaming headset from either a console controller or the gaming PC and I'll show that schematic soon.

3) It'd be real nice to split the audio signal from PC games because gamechat and game audio ride the same signal in unlike console games where it's split to go to either TV or headset (I don't play with a fancy surround headset, I use surround sound speakers... and the headset I'll use for comms is a simple turtle beach recon chat comms one for game/party chat and not game audio). But if someone knows how to jerry-rig it to separate it, I'll do it. At present with my headset going to the gaming PC to Discord, I'll be in a party over discord for example, hearing other gamers call me out through the surround sound audio with the game audio and not be able to talk back without a lot of switching from Discord to the game or even turning off Discord (not really sure)

Thanks for any help. I see so many streamers able to do this so I have no idea why it's so difficult for me to do too...
