If I pause a download and shut off my computer...
...will the progress continue downloading?

I have a 24 gb download going right now and after 30 minutes it's only gone 1.2 GB.... I'll be able to get an ethernet cable but not until I'm at my house that wil change it from about 500kbps to 20 mbps. If I cancel it now, will the progress stay or should I just leave it going until I leave?

I think you phrased this incorrectly. It should let you continue downloading after turning it on without loosing progress if that's what you were asking.

You have a simple choice:

1. Let the download finish.
2. Get the new equipment and reinitiate the download.

Whichever's faster, do that.

If you cancel it, you`ll lose all progress, if you just turn off your PC without pressing cancel it will cache what it`s downloaded and carry on from where it left off when you turn your PC back on.
