DNS Error When Downloading from Microsoft
basically anytime i try to download from microsoft i get a dns error, cant find address. im also having certificate issues in chrome. for example, i go to a website to troubleshhot a tech problem and it says my connection is not private, invalid certificate authority. my time and clock is accurate, my antivirus scans the certificates. i dont know what to do and no other websites have been able to fix these two issues. i recently went from windows 10 to windows 7 64 bit home premium. havent had these kinds of issues since.

Search in Windows Start for cmd.exe
Run it as administrator
Type in:
ipconfig /flushdns
Press Enter

If that does not fix it, then do the following:

Right-click on your Internet connection.
Open Network and Sharing Center.
Change adapter Settings (left side of the window)
Right-click on the Internet connection that you have (Ethernet if cabled, Wi-Fi if wireless)
Select Properties
Select Internet Protocol Version 4
Click on Properties
Use the following DNS server addresses:
8.8.8.8
Check the box for Validate settings upon exit
Press OK

8.8.8.8 is Google's DNS, I use it when I have DNS errors myself.

There are other more in-depth solutions listed here, not sure if you already tried these as well:

Try the same steps I listed earlier, but this time use:

Enter the Preferred DNS address: 208.67.222.222
Enter the Alternative DNS address: 208.67.220.220
