After Format/Clean Install Windows 10 - Steam detects Games but Windows Doesn't
Hey I clean installed my windows with format on drive C.
Drive D was not formatted.
I installed Steam on C. Then Went to settings and Downloads and added a new library. Selected the old Steam Libraray on Drive D.
It immediately detected all my games as installed in Steam - and synced them up.

However Windows 10 does not detect any of them as installed.
And to me - it's not good.
How do I convince Windows 10 that these games are installed properlly?

That is normal.

If you vertify the game cach Windows might detect them as installed again.

Then leave it as it is. If you do go full OCD then reinstall all games.

I wonder if I'm not doing it right.
What I did so far was going to "downloads" added another library and then it just synced. That's all. Then I tried verifying stuff.
I know it's not a big deal.

windows did not detect them since you installed then in previous windows installation.
the registry entries were in the previous installation and not in the new one.

it does not matter as long as steam client detects your steam folder.

Yeah I know.
I figured verify will work.
It's sweet that Steam instant detects them.
I'm just old school and love my management & order - I rather have program and game listed and accounted for in one place. Guess I'll just uninstall and reinstall them, gradually.

Thanks a lot for the help people.
