speacial request for sega genesis masters: SHADOWRUN

I guess you can call this a petititon for either to get the sega genesis shadowrun on steam or to get a explanation as to why we aren't able to do so. We have had what? five or so sega master releases containing everything from Golden Axe to the Phantasy Star series. Yet Shadowrun never show here. Why?

Makes me wonder why you're not just contacting SEGA, as then they'd see your inquiry rather than the unlikely occurence they'll come on this forum to see it.

Point taken, I just figured this was a Steam issue when I posted not a Sega issue. Hmmm.....

Well, SEGA is the publisher. They're the only ones who can do anything about it really.

Geez... I don't know which game exactly you want ported, but...

1993 – Shadowrun (Beam Software; SNES)
1994 – Shadowrun (BlueSky Software; Genesis/Mega Drive)
1996 – Shadowrun (Group SNE; Sega/Mega CD)

Do you seriously believe that they would dig out this ancient stuff, hire a ton of people, and make a PC port?

The title and starting post content says Genesis, so it's the midst.

Considering the SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics exists,

Yeah, they don't need to make a special port, just plug it into the emulator they're already using for other Genesis releases on Steam. In fact people can probably inject it themselves already.

They might have to renegotiate a license for Shadowrun though, since it's not a Sega property.

But the thing is the games that got published under the Sega Genesis Classic label here on Steam are ALL owned by SEGA, either they made it or have the publishing rights. I dont think SEGA owns the rights to the Mega Drive/Genesis Shadowrun game, that was made and published by Blue Sky. Who gone belly up in 2001, so no clue where the rights for the game lie nowadays.
