Xbox One Adapter has no light and not working

I have win10, installed all drivers, but when I plug adapter to usb nothing happends. No light and adapter doest'n work. What i should do& How to fix it?

The light doesn't come on until it's paired with a controller and that controller is switched on. Did you hold the button on the side? Does the light start flashing when you do?

I hold the button on the side and nothing happend, no flashing

Sounds like the battery is empty, have you tried charging it?

With gamepad everything is good, problems with wireless adapted it doesn't work

Could never get my 360 gamepads to even detect in windows or is it only xbones that work?
