Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma (too much bass)

I got them yesterday, and they sound.... too much bass. I've turned down Bass Boost in Synpase, but it still sounds far too bassy.

When I play Counter Strike for example though every single gun has a loud bass drum sound over it. Every noise louder than someone walking has the bass noise over it really. No amount of setting changes will make it quieter.

Does anyone know how to solve this?
