Can't play games after latest windows update.

Hi guys I have an issue and im not sure exactly how to solve it.

I updated windows about a week ago and have not been able to play Ark or Rocket league since; games I was playing frequently prior to the update.

Error messages:

Ark: dx11 feature level 10.0 is required to run the engine.

Rocket League: Your video card does not support alpha blending with floating point render targets (D3DFMT_A16B16G16R16F), which is required to run this game. Exiting...

All my drivers are up to date, including direct x and nvida (through GeForce Experience)

I contacted Microsoft about the direct x issue and they just told me to look up self help. I've seen plenty of people who have this issue but no one with a step by step solution that worked.

I assume I need to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for direct x and my gpu, but I'm not exactly sure how to do that or if it will fix the issue.

Specs:

Asus G551JW (Laptop)
CPU: i7 4720HQ
GPU: GTX 960M
RAM: 16gb ddr3

you can updata windous again.

Uninstall the graphics driver and install the latest one manually.
How to uninstall: The same way you uninstall all other programs.
How to install: Go to your GPU manufacturer's web site (so Nvidia) and download the installer from there.
