Dependency Problems with running Binding Of Isaac On Debian Based Distro, Netrunner
Hello, my sister has recently been trying to install The Binding of Isaac on her Linux distro which is a derivative of Debian, NetRunner. Unfortunately, she has encountered problems which are of a dependency-related nature. This game requires the ia32-libs and ia32-libs-gtk packages. But we have tried many "solutions" and so far none of them have worked for us. She already has multiarch installed, so that is not the problem. We tried using a force-install command that worked initially but then told us that the package was depricated. And of course we have tried the common three-liner with no avail:

sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libc6:i386

Running those three lines was useless as the console told us libc6:i386 was already up to date with the latest version.

We know that the ia32-libs is an obsolete package that has been removed on many Linux servers, but what can we do if The Binding of Isaac requires such dependencies? We would be greatly appreciative for effective solutions.

If you bought isaac with humble bundle you have a tar.gz too (not only a deb). If you want to use this file, dependencies are: libidn11:i386 libatk-adaptor:i386 libgail-common:i386 libcurl3:i386 gtk2-engines-pixbuf:i386 gnome-themes-standard:i386
