Email change - passwords don't match. (SOLVED)
I no longer have access to the email I used to join - my ISP recently withdrew email service for all users.

I go to change the email but I repeatedly get "passwords don't match". This is bizarre because I'm entering the same password I used to log into Steam. Checked in case caps lock was on. It wasn't.

This is driving me stark raving bonkers. Has anyone else had this problem?

Doesn't the message actually say that the LOGIN or password is incorrect?

Type the password into notepad, make sure its correct then paste it into the fields.
Maybe the email is weird, typo or something. check that.

make sure you're not mismatching the little "L" letters and 0 with o and etc.

People - thanks for the comments.

I contacted Steam support and they were prompt and helpful.

Thanks for the replies and thank you Steam.

That's great! I'm kind of curious what the problem was and how they solved it?
Just in case if someone else gets this issue and finds this thread.

I couldn't get my email to update, then I mistakenly hit the send verification to my old email (which no longer exists) button. Got locked out because I needed a new verification code after logging out and trying to log back in. The forum software seemed to believe I was trying to log in from another computer.

I lodged a support ticket with Steam support. After carrying out checks on my identity, Steam support changed my email address and then sent me the necessary info to log back in. The checks were a good thing - Steam support made as sure as they could be that I wasn't trying it on.

In short, Steam did for me what I couldn't do myself. Not sure if that's a solution per se, rather than me simply being able to work around the initial issue (being unable to change the emal address myself)

If that's a bit hazy, feel free to ask a bit more.

Steam support was prompt and helpful.
