I'm using the mobile authenticator, i just bought an item and it's on trade hold until august 10. :(
That is a different hold.
If you JUST buy an item on the Community Market.. you cannot *resell or trade* that item to a new person for 7 days. There is no way around that hold. Everyone has it.
How i wish there's an option where you can enable or disable it.
If you disable it then Steam won't or would have a hard time recovering your items that got hacked or something like that and you will like confirm that you're taking the risk and Steam is not responsible for losing your item.
So it's the user's 100% fault.

Guess what would happen if you could disabled/bypass the trade and market hold at the "users risk"?, they still would blame Valve and thats a fact because this is what happened a bunch of times back in the day without any hold whatsoever.
They can keep on blaming and blaming Valve but it's their own fault.
I know some of my friends who got their account hacked and gladly they're not some whiny people who try to point out their mistake on Steam.
I guess for security purposes.
Maybe the reason Valve put a hold on it
Example Scenario, i left my Steam on a Local internet cafe.
Some random dude tried to hack my account, he bought an item, but there's a hold so he can't really hack that account.
Unless he decided to buy a lot of item, altho he can't hack the items, that will piss you off if he bought some useless item or game lol
Doesn't matter, you cannot remove it unless you're using steam mobile authentificator.
