from the manual I could find 144hz isn't shown as available on VGA and HDMI inputs regardless of resolution. Though it doesn't show the DVI-D resolution @ hz I suspect it's like my Benq monitor that only supports 144hz on DVI-D and not HDMI.
Here's a link to the manual on the relevant page

Double check your monitor doesn't have any other connections. As I have not found this model that only supports hdmi. If you find it has a DVI-D port you need use that to connect it to your GPU if you want 144hz otherwise you max refresh will be 60hz no matter what hdmi version cable you use.
Thanks for the informative response! Though I do have a few more questions. And yeah, thats my monitor, the one you linked.
So i'll need a DVI dual link cable to get the 144hz rate? Though, my PC does not have a DVI port, only HDMI and DisplayPort. What can I do? Buy a new monitor or is there some other cable I can use?

I already gave a HDMI 1.4b > DisplayPort 1.2, Yet stuck at 60hz. My GPU is a 1080ti, which only has HDMI and Display Port ports. Would DVI work with HDMI to reach 144hz? Or will a DVI to DVI adapter>DisplayPort work?
Contact the GPU manufacturer and ask them what ports will output 144hz
Contact the Monitor manufacturer and ask them what ports support 144hz
Then get a lead that has the required connections.
