"content servers unreachable...?" [FIXED]

so i've had an issue for a while now. it started when i tried to install CSGO to play with a friend, but didn't work. shortly around that time i was able to download Portal 2 just fine, but now nothing works. please advise. i finally got a new internet service and i don't even get to try it out. if anyone knows a better place to post this, please let me know as well.

ive been having the same thing happen to me recently no matter what server i switch to in the us i keep recieving the same error message (content servers unreachable)

there should be a file on your pc if your running windows called mdsched if you run that it sould check for lik RAM fixes and such for windows 10 at least

I found a fix guys, what ur gonna do is go to steam>settings>download then click clear download cache

Server issues have been around recently especially during maintenance days.

So, if others manage to stumble across this - it's a plausible explanation.
