Importing Ubisoft games into Steam, is it possible?
I have a few games I bought a store or directly from Ubisoft, is it possible to import them under Steam?

Current problem is I have ACBF and I would like to buy some DLC (e.g.: Liberty Cry), is there any way I can do it through Steam? Or am I forced to buy through UbiSoft?

I would like to have a single front-end for my games, if possible.

I have the same issue, but I've never found a way to make my Steam and Ubisoft games work together.

You can not do it, if you want to have it in steam you have to buy it from steam or buy a key for steam. If you want the dlcs you have to buy them directly from ubisoft.

Basically, for games that work with 3rd party DRM such as Origin or UPlay, the only way to get them on Steam is by buying them in the Steam store. These publishers only use Steam as a 3rd party store; stores that sell keys only get "native" keys (Origin/UPlay).

I don't know about behind the scenes contracts, but technically it shouldn't be an issue to basically wrap a Steam key around your existing Origin/UPlay purchase. However, Origin and UPlay don't have a reason to offer this, and I don't know whether Steam even offers it.

Everyone is still looking only at themselves; none of the major players wants to provide the best possible user experience.

Well, Steam does allow the activation of such copies. They need a database of keys to verify them. If they don't get them from the publisher, those games can not be activated on Steam.
The decision is entirely up to the publisher.
Of course Electronic Arts (Origin) and Ubisoft (UPlay) see Steam as competition and don't allow their games to be activated on Steam.

@Cathulhu:

For a couple of games (including ACBF!) I actually have the keys since they were bought in a shop.
How should I proceed to install a game bought in shop in Steam?

Also competition between Ubisoft and Steam seems not fierce... I would say they have a shared database as I was unable to register with the same name on both.

You can't. What Cathulhu is telling you is that the reason you can't is because Ubisoft doesn't let you.

They don't have a shared database. Your name just isn't as unique as you thought it was, or you have an older Ubisoft account.
