How to cancel a DLC download if Steam claims it to be needed in order to play the game.

I started downloading a DLC, and didn't reasize Steam was trying to tell me it was already im my library. "Even though it wasn't. That's kinda why I checked out the DLC in the first place "Free DLC"


So I cleared the download catche, but that didn't work. Steam was telling me I needed the DLC in order to play the game, witch makes no sense what so ever.
Vertified intigrity of game catche, and suddenly it said !Failed to validate 1 file" So that's how it ended up wanting the DLC so bad it was gonna refuse me to do ♥♥♥♥ about it.
I honestly thought I had to re-invent the wheel for a moment, but luckily, I found a way.

If you by accident start to download a DLC for a game, but realize you don't want to do it yet, cause you still want to play the game before you download, OR,
Maybe you had Seasson Pass, and a new DLC were avalible when you were gonna have that gaming evening with some friends, this is what you wanna do.

Right click "Your Game" > "Properties" > "DLC" and uncheck the DLC you "Accidentally" put to download.

I had no Idea that the DLC would pop uo in that list the moment I started to download the DLC.
However, it's a simple fix probably 99% of you out there know, but at least it could save 1% of frustration.

Unless it's just me feeling stupid, but in reallity, it's the 1% that actually knows how to fix it. In that case, this would be a 99% solve rate. That's alot of frustration.
