Creating Booster Pack
The lowest gem requirement for crafting a booster pack that I have seen are 400 gems(wasteland 2). How many "junk" do you need to turn into gems before you hit 400 gems when 1 item will maybe(lets take the worst case) get you 10 gems.
400/10 = 40 items.
40 item for a booster pack or random 3 cards. And each card sold for $0.05 each average.
If Sell card after opening booster pack:
$0.05 x 3 = $0.15
if Sell booster pack
Wasteland 2 Booster pack = $0.20(40 stock so won't change for a while)
Selling "Junk" straight to market
Lets say one item can sell for $0.03
So 40 x $0.03 = $1.20
but steam takes a percentage away from you like for example if you sell an item that is wroth 3 cents you would only get 1 cent.
but thank you for the break down i understand that takes a lot of effort
and some items takes forever to sell and gem doesn't take much time and you can go and buy booster pack instantly.
If crafting badges ain't your thing, then go for the penny.
