Exit Steam.
Click Start > Run (Windows Key + R).
Type the following command:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe" /repair
Launch Steam and test the issue again.
Note: This command requires administrator privileges and may take a few minutes.
If you have installed Steam to another path, please replace C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam with the correct path.
Warning: Restarting your pc the problem returns :/
But just repeat these tips above to repair Steam again :)
This didn't work for me. Nor did deleting all downloadcache. But what did work was:
1: Run Steam as administrator AND
2: Downgrade all further Windows/Microsoft security-messages
Imo this is not, for most people, a driver- or malwaredetectionissue, most of this lagging problem comes around every 1 or 2 years. I've read almost everything google showed me on this, or simmilar, issue.
When all earlier sollution fail, well...., we're human, adapt and try something else.
Hope this will work for you guys and girls.
