[SOLVED] STEAM IS RUNNING VERY SLOW.
Why? I'm on the fastest PC I can find but it's still going very slow
That's why I'm on the steam website making this discussion. It's way faster here than the Steam Client
Does anyone know why?

I'm wondering the same thing, glad it's not just me. It feels like I'm playing on a game with horrible hardware, delayed responses and everything.

I'm GUESSING that it has to do with a Steam update that made it laggy and very slow and delayed.

I found the solution:

Steam > Settings > Web Browser > Web Browser > "DELETE WEB BROWSER CACHE"

Instantly made it all better

mine's been unusably slow for the last 30 minutes or so. Clearing the steam web browser cache (steam menu>settings>web browser) fixed it for me.

Yeah last update bugged something on the client, that solution isn't working for me its still slow after closing and reopening Steam

This has been happening to me today too, but clearing the cache only temporarily fixes it

if you manually go about deleting the html cache from the program folder and the appdata/local folders it seems to be fixed even if you restart

I absolutely HATE that problem, I've been having it lately, too. What I usually do is go to Task Manager and delete all processes of Steam and open it, I repeat until I can open Steam. And if I doesn't work, restart and re-do. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ method, but it works.

The Steam Client is so slow I can't even click on anything.

I have deleted the cache both manually and through the steam client and have unchecked the "Automatically Detect Settings" box under LAN settings, but nothing seems to work.
