Hey, I got banned on some game server(not the actual game itself). So I decided to make another account(got banned again.) So I made ANOTHER account AND used a vpn this time, but now I can't get into the server at all. How could they have stopped me!?

They banned your computer's IP address...

its called a ip ban, they can tell if you have other accounts and this results in a i.p ban if you keep trying to join(maybe next time just maybe don't do that)

VPN circumvents IP related bans..

Please go into detail. Are you saying even with a vpn, it triggers it and I get autobanned?

No. A VPN should circumvent your ban, unless someone was banned under the same IP. Bans are also by steam account, so vpn can't help in some situations.

Are these accounts with gmod purchased on them or steam library share? If you're using library share there's a simple api call they can do to get the actual owner of the game and their steamid and figure out you're using an alt.

It's possible that the may have sent something to download in your garrys mod and the server checks if you have it and if you do bans you.

I know that isn't how an ip ban works, I didn't say it was.
