Help: Ori and the Blind Forest (Product Key)
Hello everybody, I need help.
I bought months ago Ori and the Blind Forest in a Gamestop for my brother's birthday, but we did not have time to test it until today. When I try to install the game and insert the product key a message appears, saying that the key already has been used. I came back to the store for another key, but they simply said that what happened to me was impossible because they don't sell used games. Unfortunately, I did not keep the receipt so I could not contradict it. What can I do? If I can do something... I'm really hungry for their answer.

Without the receipt, there isn't much you can do.

The steam staff can't help me in any way? Or can I try to write to some gamestop contact?

Proof of Purchase is kind of required for most stores.
The only people that can help you is the store that you bought it from.

Unfortunately, you shouldn't of waited months.
Time is a major factor when returning/exchanging an item. Even with a receipt, you are most likely past the cutoff for being able to help with this kind of problem.

How many months have pasted since you bought the game?

Unfortunately I know we were wrong, I told my brother several times to try the game but nothing... finally the pc broke. Two months have passed...

If to be somewhat optimistic, at least it wasn't too expensive a game.
First check the game box to make sure that this is a Steamworks key that you're trying to use.

Secondly, check the game key very carefully and ensure that you're typing it in correctly.

Thirdly, before purchasing a physical game box from a store you should check it very carefully to ensure that the game is sealed and may not have been returned. If the game did not have a plastic seal when you purchased it then someone else could have used the key already.

Also, make sure that you or your brother didn't already redeem the game on another account and double-check to see if you didn't already redeem it on one of your accounts.

As already pointed out, since you waited a month and don't have a receipt it's very unlikely you will get a refund.

Your pc "broke?" How did it break?

To further clarify, there is nothing that Steam Support can do for you unless you purchased the game key from Steam. If the game key was already redeemed on someone else's account they will not tell you who.

Probably the third point is the correct one.
The power supply has exploded and the new one came late...
