Reitrive Skyrim Special Edition saves and use it in normal Skyrim

Hi !

My question may seem odd, but I've played a lot of Skyrim Special Edition in the past month on my computer. I'm going to leave home and all I'm going to have is my laptop, which can run Skyrim, but not the Special Edition.

How can I retrieve my saves of Special Edition on the cloud, and use them in the normal version of Skyrim ?

Not sure if you'll need to do anything to allow SE version saves to work on Legendary/standard version or if they will even work. Will need to test that.

If you have manual saves as well as cloud saves Skyrim saves should be found in your Documents folder

............\Documents\My Games\Skyrim
............\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition

You can't. Your saves for the SE are using a different engine than the Oldrim. You can't convert backward. If you try you'll corupt those saves.

skyrim special edition uses 64 bit engine and save files. the 32 bit original skyrim can NOT read the skyrim se save files. go ahead and try. get an error msg about save file created by different version.
