Steam keeps logging me out

Short introduction:

I'm not a new use of steam i've been using it for several years and i've never had problems with steam.

Recently tho steam has decided to log me out of my account after i shut my pc down for the night. In 2 years steam has only done that a few times after certain updates but now it does it every day. I check the box remember me every time but it keeps logging me out the next day.

Does anyone know how to end this madness?

Please don't mock me im using mac (Version: macOS Sierra 10.12.5) but i don't think this is a mac specific problem.

First uncheck the "Don't save account credentials" in the options. Second, are you actively closing Steam when shutting down?

The don't save account credentials was not on to begin with and my pc closes steam when shutting down i don't close it myself

Close it yourself. Manually. Explicitly.

il try closing it myself but i've never had this problem in several years of letting my computer close it. Il see if it works :) thank you

Remember that closing the window isn't enough, you need to click the "Exit Steam" menu item.

I'm also on mac and I've been having this problem for several months now as well. I always exit manually and the don't save credentials box has never been turned on. I can't find the solution for this anywhere

Sorry to hear about your problem gravitycon i've since gotten a new computer and i do not recall having somehow fixed that problem on my old pc. The only thing that i did not try was removing steam and doing a clean install. So i think that's worth a try.

i have reinstall steam and nothing happens,

I would assume that a VPN could be the reason for this so if you have one this will probably the reason for it - if you log into Steam with a different IP every time, it only makes sense that this login will be regarded as completely different each time.

I'm currently facing this issue. Any solutions to stop Steam from auto logging out?
- I've already disconnected my VPN.
- Restarted my computer several times.
- Yet issue still persists.
