Alienware 15 laptop major issues problems, PLS HELP! Greatly appreciated :D
Ok idk if this issue is the first of its kind, but it started 3 years ago when I bought a brand new Alienware 15 gaming laptop.

Dumb as I was, I used it to run Team Fortress 2 for nearly a year before I played csgo. Then I played csgo for maybe 2 months than suddenly one day I turned it on and it said that the battery was permanently damaged. Ok I ignored it, plugged in the power source and used as normal.

But after nearly a month of csgo gaming the fans stopped working/ spin slow as f and resulted in thermal throttling/ computer shutdown at around 80 degrees ++. I'm not too sure what happened, so after a year which was a few months ago I sent to dell ( warranty void ) and they opened it, repositioned heat sink, applied new thermal paste and checked all the hardware, didn't seem to have any issues.

So I got it back, then I updated new drivers and I could run call of Duty Black Ops 3 perfectly fine until i downloaded rainbow six siege and after a week, the same issues occurred. I tried the same solution, that is, reinstall drivers, worked for again a week or so until same issues occurred, but the same solution doesn't work.

Now I got a new Alienware alpha r2 and new stuff, but I'm trying to salvage/ repair the Alienware 15 laptop. I even got a cooling pad but stuff doesn't seem to work. I tweaked some power usage settings just now.

Thing is, usually when running payday 2/ TF2 the temps stay at 70 degrees or so cpu temps but the fans won't spin / rly slow, now that I tweaked some power settings, the fans actually SPIN ( acceptable loudness ) when playing payday 2 at max resolution ( before was rly low res ) and cpu temps at around 74 degrees without cooling pad.

Then I downloaded csgo( requirements definitely lower than payday ) and when I join a server and spawn in, after 5-10 secs it'll just shut down my pc regardless of temps ( or maybe it's high temps). Now the fans spin, I can feel the airflow, but it's rly weak.

Any solutions on why/ how to fix it? Pls post comments that can be helpful, I've posted many posts before but no answers. so pls if u can pls help, it'll be greatly appreciated.

So it has been something like a year without someone opening it?
Clean the poop that got inside the laptop because of the fans.
Your hardware is the common factor in all of your problems.

If I were you I would stop buying overpriced Dell laptops when you can buy a desktop for half the price with the same specs or better.

An Alienware laptop shouldn't have problems running TF2 or CSGO. It sounds like you've got a dud or haven't been taking care of your computers.

It sounds like you need to send it back to Dell for repairs...which might be iffy. Otherwise, get a better service plan in the future.

I opened it twice in the span of 3 years. I cleaned the fans,'there was a lot of stuff in there, I re applied the thermal paste and I repositioned heatsink

I clean my desktop 3-4 times a year because doing so it's easy(less dust to clean = less time cleaning) and you will have less heat problems(and we have been at arround 40ºC the past weeks here) and because I have it so clean is working ok and doesn't need any thermal paste yet.

A laptop needs more cleaning because of how it's build(so small and with less mesh and space they get clogged more often), add to that that they heat more while you play games.

Still after doing so you could have other issues with the pc because having it clean outside(hardware) doesn't mean it's clean inside(software).
The alienware laptop brand is as bad as Apple mac laptops, overpriced and not made for gaming, just eye candy really.

Best to build a desktop pc from scratch, you save more and have less issues.

It's getting to the point now where you can even buy cheap, premade mid-end gaming desktops and it's practically the same or sometimes less than building it yourself.

Higher end builds will usually be cheaper to build yourself though.
I dunno if u saying this is any use on solving my problems, but 1. Yes macs aren't for gaming and 2. If Alienware isn't for gaming what it's for? Alienware IS for gaming, albeit ovepriced

Alienware is overpriced crap. You can get either the same for less money, or better for the same that Alienware charges.
Yeah I realised that, does it solve my problem tho?
