How do I allow a steam game to make changes on my computer?
I accidentally clicked 'no' when then user account control window popped up and asked me "Do you want the following program to make changes to this computer?" when I first installed The Lord of the Rings Online. When I click it now, it says running for a few seconds and then stops. How can I make it start?

Go to the Steam Directory (C:\Program Files\Steam unless otherwise specified during installation), go into the "steamapps" folder, go into the "common" folder, click on
the folder named "TheLordoftheRingsOnline" or however it's called, there should be a folder named "prerequisites", go into it, and you'll find executables that will make your game run.
If this doesn't help, try restarting Steam, verify the game's file integrity (go into LIBRARY, right click on a game, select "Properties", go into the "FILES" tab, click the last option and wait for it to finish), and launch again.
I opened "common" folder and then clicked "The Lord of the Rings Online", but then could not find the "prerequisites" folder.
I then right clicked the game in the Library, and selected "Properties". I went to the Local files tab and the last option was greyed out.
Thanks for the help though.

I restarted the compute and the launched, but it says running and then stops. I noticed that the icon of the game in the desktop is not a symbol but a file icon.

When I checked steam apps and then common folder, and clicked "The Lord of the Rings Online" folder, I could not find prerequisites, but I found folders called "third party" "en" "raw" and a lot of files. I don't know which ones are executables.

It's probably third party, click it and see if you have any executables.
Here's a screenshot of what I saw:

I am confused which are executables.

All but the 2nd one. They're marked as application.

Nevermind, I'll uninstall and reinstall it.
