Steam constantly changes language.

I have steam set to English by default, however opening multiple steamcommunity pages, or even refreshing current pages in the desktop application or ingame changes the language of all pages to Ukrainian. I've used Steam for many years, and changing to my native language will be a pain. I've tried to change default frontpage from google.com to other websites, but it didn't have any effect.

Similar thing here, the Steam forums switch to German for me, both in my browser and the client.

Yeah I'm seeing most pages in Dutch instead of English, even though all my preferences etc. are set to English. Steam goes Ubisoft? They, too, think they need to force a language on their customers without giving them the option to change it to what THEY want.

I can "fix" it for a while by restarting Steam/refreshing the tab.

For some reason only the text in the actual page changes, but not steam itself. Things such as Settings, friends list and the Tab's are all in english. Refreshing the page for me does nothing. The only thing I can do is restart steam and use only one open window at a time.

So it's the technology 'behind' the Steam client then? Isn't that Google Chrome or something?

Edit: "Chromium" - whatever. Sounds like it's to Chrome what Freemium is to Free...

It's not just the forum for me. Store pages, marketplace, wishlist, ...

Edit: when using Opera to browse Steam, everything is in English as it should be

Cleared cookies, cache and download history from Steam (after clearing download history, a restart of Steam is required) and now it's fixed!

Same here. Steam store keeps changing language. Restarting helps but not for long.

Same here, as said above restarting only helps for a while. So ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid forcing peoples native language upon them. #TRIGGERED

Same here, that's annoying : I have english set as main, french as secondary, but all store pages are shown in french, with warnings for all the games that do not have a french translation, and only french reviews showing by default.

If using a browser, instead of Steam client, everything seems to work as intended though.
