Global Steam key, says unavailable in your country, help!

So I bought Civilization 6 from G2A, a website that i have used heaps in the past and are aware of its dangers, I went throught the usual process of buying a key and was under the impression that a global key means it can be activated anywhere in the world. The seller has got high ratings and thousands have bought the same key from him, however when i tried to activate it here on steam i got a lovely message telling me that this "this product is not availabe for purchase in your country". I live in australia, i think the seller is in the UK and i spent a good $45 on this game. I also sent a ticket on g2a, which goes to the seller and if he doesnt reply g2a will help later. If anyone knows whats up or perhaps how to fix this please let me know.

Yea i trust the site, the seller has also sold many games before and has got 4.5 stars, im wondering if this was just a mistake :/ but yea not buying from gee two a again
