Uninstalled games still in my Steamapps/common folder
I have just been freeing up space on my computer and found a whole bunch of game files from the games I used to play (most of these are not in my steam library and are uninstalled). Whenever I try to delete the files it says that it is no longer located in C:\Program Files...

Is there anyway for me to delete the files perminently???????
Thanks in advance :)

Edit 1:
Just found out that all of the folders are empy inside, just all the program file folders missing the files....

Are you trying to delete them manually in the c: drive? Or using Steam's removal, or Windows program removal?

Im manually doing it because in steam they are fully uninstalled
Do you have it set to show hidden files? Those files could be what's stopping you from deleting them.

Try starting in safe mode and then deleting them.

If you're still following this thread...

There's no need to boot into safe mode, and I'm not sure it will help anyway. You just need to delete those files from the command prompt, using their "8.3" filenames. Fire up the command prompt, 'CD' into the folder with those program remnants, type 'dir /x', and then delete the files that come up in the listing, using the 'del' command.
