RollerCoaster Tycoon: Deluxe

RollerCoaster Tycoon: Deluxe

Roller Coaster Tycoon Delux Custom resolution Program
Hello;
So about a year or 2 ago I have installed RCTD and I remember running this game in 1440p Fullscreen however it does not support it. I have searched all over google and cannot find the program I used to set this custom resolution last time I installed the game. I know about the hex editing altho it does not support 1440p. So my question is do any of you guys know what this program is and what its called; i cannot find it again for the life of me.

description of the program is you download it; put in into the roller coaster tycoon directory; run it, set your resolution in my case W-2560 H-1440 push enter; run the .exe and bam it works... was very simple and easy. I had found it on a forum however with the latest craze of deleting or closing forums after 6 months I can no longer find it.

If you know of this program please let me know.

Hotsauce thank you for your post however i dont see how this helps me or answers my question... i have read that post already and as i have the steam version does not help me. Im looking for the name of the program as described or something simalar.

It does work with the steam version. As the description says, it got updated.
I actually bought the steam version only to see if it works because I only had a normal cd version which was not compatible as the expansions were missing.
I also noticed, the ingame hours wont go up when using this method. I didn't try it but I think you could actually play many many hours in 2 weeks and give it back ( not recommended since it could end up in a ban if they find out ). I have played like 20 hrs but it does not show on steam.

This is the link that video refers to. however it does not seem to support 1440p. The google drive file the other link directs to in the description is for 1080p. Thank you for the answer however i do not see this working in my case unless somebody knows the hex code for 1440p; I could not find it.

well i read the forums on that link above and decided to try one of the posts however my hex editor "notepad++ hex edit plugin" will not find the hex line.

I remember reading it was somehow possible to scale up from 1080p. Doesn't it say that in the description? If so I must have read that somewhere else. Sorry!

With the hex method it could work. I tried that out too some time ago but it didn't work on the normal version. I remember it was very hard to find the code inside the editor. There should be videos and screenshots online. Maybe you can find another editor with a search function.

For some it works to edit a solution file in %appdata% which for me didn't work.

If all that doesn't help, you just have to stick to 1080p for now until someone might get it working. Or you dig yourself through the deep internet again and find your program if it still exists but to be honest I don't think that's worth it because your program might be down caused by maybe a copyright thing or somethin like that.

I will help you searching tho. I really want you to get your game working.

Thanks for your reply padeon; yes i tryed 3 diffrent hex editors. none of them would find the code. i also looked in appdata with hidden files turned on and could not find the atari folder with rollercoaster tycoon in it. its seeming like a lost cause i suppose. There are tones of posts on the hex edit; thats really not what i wanted this post to be about haha just thought maby somebody else used or new the name of that program. i agree that it has probably been taken down. I actually remember it being inside a website that housed the hex edit hack said something like if you dont want to manually do it you can use the program. however i no longer see it. Lately ive just been playing it in 720p mode. Just looked soooooo much better in 1440p full screen. thanks for the help guys too bad we couldn't come to a solution.

Use this ::

Requires roller coaster tycoon 2 but its well worth it, the devs did a great job on the project still in active development.

Unfortunately I don't have RCT2, just have RCT Deluxe on Steam.

Though the project does sound awesome. A project for RCT like what OpenTTD did for Transport Tycoon Deluxe.

RCT2 is 4 bucks RN not to bad its the same game but more expansions. Open RCT2 adds alot of stuff like ability to use your gpu over cpu, support for a ton of new resolutions, expansions, multiplayer if your into that sort a thing, cheats, map editors, Mod support, ability to zoom in and out further. just to name a few.
Its a huge project. i can't even play the game without it now. Never did find a workaround to the resolution issue with 1440p so its the only way i know of to play at that resolution exclusive full screen. its gonna be a well spent 4 bucks if your really into RCT.
