Is the GTX 1050 enough for Virtual Reality?

Is the GTX 1050 enough for Virtual Reality?
These are my specs; I7-7700 HQ
16 RAM DDR4
GTX 1050 2gb
i have played with Trinus vr (phone) and it worked fine but i am going to buy HTC Vive or the Oculus rift (with Oculus touch), And now i want to know if it will work aswell.

I tested with steam vr performence test but it did choose my integrated grapichs card ( intel hd 630) ( it was capable) but i wanted to test my gtx 1050 but didnt know how.

But would VR work with my specs?

1060 is better but a 1070 would be ideal without going balls out on a 1080.

if you have geforce Experience installed it will tell you if your rig is ready for VR,
I have a 1050Ti / Core i5 & 16GB and it says mine isn`t as a guide..

is says it isnt, but oculus also say that you need a gtx 1060 but you can play with 960 without problems.

a 960 it still better at a fair amount of games than a 1050 ti.

From my own experience with the Vive I wouldn't do it

The 1050 is about the same as the 670 which I had before

I tried the Vive on my 670 and had a headache for like 2 hours afterwards

You're already spending the dough on VR don't cheap out on the card you will regret it

yes but the problem is you cant change a grapichs card on a HP omen laptop.
(if you can, i dont know how)
