HELP! - People can't comment on my profile

HELP! - People can't comment on my profile

Please help me if you can!
I have recently been getting a lot of spam people adding me on steam so I decided to make my comment section on my profile public. I state that if you wish to add to leave a comment, however i now have 13 incoming friend requests and not a single person has commented on my profile.

I had my friend look into this and it turns out they can't comment on my profile unless they are friends with my account. I don't want to keep adding random people as hackers are getting into peoples accounts just by having them accept their friend request so if you can help me id appreciate it.

I don't understand why it would be doing this as I have everything set to public except my wishlist. My account is in good standing so there's no issue there. This has been on going for about a month now, maybe longer but it has only recently come to light.

If you can help me with this i would be so grateful as it is crucial to my profile, thanks!

I think limited user accounts (ones who haven't spent $5) have more limited commenting abilities? Like they can't post as many comments per unit time.

Oh wow that was a fast response :D This may well be the case if you are able to comment. Her account has about £30-£40 worth of games however and it is also in good standing so im not sure. Perhaps people just dont have the iniative to read my profile, oh well their loss. Thank you so much for your responses, I didn't think I'd get any. I am not going to close this as of yet until I have someone else test it and I will also try the limited £5 restriction incase someone comes across the same issue in the future and wants to know the acutal reason.

that does not mean it is an unlimited account. only purchases from steam can unlimit an account. those games could have been gifted to her or purchased outside of steam.
