Me and a friend can't see each other's library

Both me and my friend can't see each other's library even though we can still see our own library. I can still see my brother's library just fine. Both of us have bought many games and have a Steam cliant. Is there something we need to do that we can see each other's libraries?

You go to his profile to look at his library.

You can't technically see another person's library. You can go to their profile and click on 'games' in order to see the games the person owns.

Yeah, I found out why we can't see each other's libraries when looking through my settings.

Ah, good.

Would've just said you need to have both the Steam user AND the device authorized. Most people only do either or.

Basically what I just wrote.

If (s)he wants your library, you go on his/her computer with your Steam -account. You go under [Steam > Settings > Family] and authorize his/her computer.

Then you tick his/her Steam user from the tickbox list below as eligible.

That way (s)he's one of the (up to 5) Steam users who can access your library on any of the (up to 10) authorized devices, of which his/her device should be one of.

Then the other way around for you to gain access to their library.
