And my brain hurts when i see people using childish terms like weaboo because edgy sites like 4chan made it look so cool.

Well.. still shows that stuff on my shoppage.. But thanks for the link anyway

Have the same issue as GT. Exluding tags does absolutely nothing when looking through popular or new releases.
Steam really needs something to hide all this anime content as most of it is borderline pornography which i do not wish to see.
I use steam for gaming, if i wanted to see porn i would log onto ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Yeah, filtering is pretty broken and non functional right now and there are whole sections on the Store page that ignore the filters, no matter what you put in them.

It almost feels like we have less control over this new Store page than we did over the old one since most of the options for clearing up what we want to see (or don't want to see) don't work.

The store page, as it is now, is absolutely horrible.

Hopefully the new updated steam client will sort that out but i wont hold my breath.

You would think that a company as big as Valve would implement some sort of function to allow users to completely block certain types of games from showing on their account though.

I mean, who the heck wants to see anime porn showing up when you're doing a casual search for games to purchase.

Just being able to disable all anime games would be great. I'm willing to lose out on all these potentially great games *cough* ♥♥♥♥ *cough*.

I'm not saying anime games are bad, just not for me & the type of anime games showing up on my store page are games for perverts.
It's not even normal anime, it's actually anime porn. Who actually buys this crap?

It is kind of cute if someone thinks these boob physics games that make little kids giggle are anime porn. Be assured, they are anything BUT that and never google actual anime porn to stay that innocent.

What does this have to do with filtering out these boob dating games tho? You seem to be nitpicking details here. I think being able to filter out games is good, maybe someone wants to filter out all FPS games, all action games etc. Makes it easier to find what you're really interested in.

When you think about it, what developer would want to sell on a storefront that lets people completely block their games from being shown? I mean, I don't want to buy Call of Duty, but I guarantee Activision wouldn't be okay with Steam implementing a means to block their games entirely. It's just bad for business.

The same reason you can't filter out the "super sale lady shaver" on Amazon's front page, no matter if you do not need a lady shaver ever. Valve sells "views" to the developers for their games and that is what these developers want, like amazon sells "views" to a specific product.

Also: do not go through "most wanted" and "new" if you are only interested in certain genres anyway. Most new games are utterly bad and anime IS one of the most wanted and sold genres on Steam, no matter if you like it or not.

I totally get your point but there needs to be an option for people who don't wish to see borderline porn content on steam.
And people saying it's not anime porn, have you seen some of the screenshots form these games people post? It's exactly that, anime porn.
