Refund help: Drakensang
I've been attemptnig to get a refund for drakensang: rivers of time, yet have been denied every time due to having4hrs in it. (which is balls because the game is slow paced as hell.)
I was just trying the game out, didn't even get that far in and I think I can say I don't like it.

What can I do to convince customer support to actually look at this and get a refund?
I'd rather not dispute the payment with my bank because that's just a hassle.
Thanks,
~Moon

It is required to have less than 2 hours playtime in order to get a refund. Nothing you can do with 4 hours.

Nothing you can do. A no means no so accept that and move on.

Disputing the payment will lock your entire account.

They already looked and said no. You are double the required time limit.

If you dispute the charge, thats called fraud, and will get your account locked.

Not sure what there is to understand, the guidelines are pretty straight forward.

Do I look like I care about the guidelines? I simply want a refund for a game that wasn't enjoyable.
It took more than 2 hours to get a feel for the game. I feel I am justifiedi n this.
Even if I'm not, they'll be losing a customer over $20 flipping dollars. Is that really a smart business tactic?

charge-backs usually do not end well for the account. you are twice the time limit.

Customer support seems ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantastic then.
I'm going to talk to my bankto see what is possible to dispute. If I'm going to get my account revoked might as well get all the money I can back.

you are just making your self-inflicted, bad situation even worse. good luck, you're going to need it.

You will likely only be able to do a charge back for more recent purchases and i strongly suggest you don't go down that route as Valve can take you to courte for fraud considering it costs them hundreds of dollars for each and every chargeback.

Also, 2 hours is more than enough time to see if you like the game or not as you can always use Youtube to check actual gameplay, watch reviews etc.

charge backs don't cost them nearly that much man. but I wouldn't mind if it went to court.
well unless you count employee hours.

i understand you want to "try out the game." valve even has that option to choose when requesting a refund. but valve also states that you have less than 2 hours to to find out before requesting a refund.

if it were something like, not able to play due to bugs and errors or any other technical issue valve "might have" granted the refund.

my problem here is that the gameplay was paced so slowly, that 2hrs was not a reasonable amount of time to "try" out the game.

Any chargeback will restrict your account, you would not be able to purchase or activate any games until they get the money back.

Why can't you just take responsibility for buying a game you didn't like despite it working perfectly and then playing it for four hours anyway?
Everyone purchases stuff they regret sometimes.

They can't keep track on how long it takes for each game to get going, they have lots of games shorter then 2h that still can be refunded. They have to have a hard general limit that is OK for most games.

Because I'm a pissed off ignorant and stubborn consumer!
Welcome to the real world <3

So it's just a restriction then? I'll just chargeback the one game in that case.

It's a permanent restriction if you chargeback. The account is locked and you have 9 weeks to solve the chargeback.
