Offensive Steam names

Steam cares about offensive names?
This is the only platform that is just.. omg...
Offensive nicknames, nude avatars and others...

You can report the user on their profile under "More.." Nudity is a no-no. Offensive, well different people are offended by different things. In any event, if you are concerned they are breaking the rules, you can report them and a moderator will decide if action needs to be taken.

I've rarely seen people get punished by steam for having an offensive name, UNLESS it's flaming a community moderator or developer, then most likely if they manage to get to it, which would regularly be a community ban and changing your name to your Profile ID so your offensive name won't show up.

Nude avatars can also be punishable regularly as well.

If we notice such profiles, we will reset them. Without the help of the community, it's hard to find them though; if you encounter such profiles, please report them. Steam Support reviews profile reports frequently.

Reset them? You mean lvl 1? or just reset all settings? I personaly wouldn't care about normal "Settings" reset...

You can be community banned on steam

- You're name goes into a random number "45498798496497" and u cant change it
- You have the "?" avatar and u cant change it
- Cant add friend
- Cant post comment/on any forum
- Your profil go into private and you cant change it
- Cant create group

Their profiles would be reset, as in, it will either look like a newly made profile that cannot be changed, or simply a private profile without the red text
