Strix Raid DLX & Steam Overlay

Hey guys,

Bought an Asus Strix Raid DLX sound card to go with my sennheiser g4me zero's (Amazing setup with superb audio quality.)

This is the issue - With the software that comes with the card (sonic studio), updated to the newest version (1.1.7) running in the background, Launching any steam game will cause the overlay not to function at all in game.

I have been searching for the past hour to see if there was a fix, to no avail.

I have tried the following:
Launching steam in admin mode.
Launching sonic studio in admin mode.
Disabling the sonic readar pro overlay in the sonic studio software

I cannot seem to get the overlay working without closing the sonic studio software, that also subsequently disables all the awesome sound effects that come with this card. I've never had an issue with any other sound card I've had.

Does anyone have a solution for this? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Disable the Strix Overlays

Disableing the Sonic Radar Pro option under the advanced plugins section also has no effect. What are you refering to with the strix overlays?

I did, turned out there was another overlay program interfering with the programs.
It was the MSI afterburner/riva tuner statistics server (a program that shows on screen info with FPS, gpu usage, and other useful info)
After uninstalling said utility, not only did my steam overlay start functioning again, but my micro-stuttering that i was experiencing in CS:GO disappeared.

So I would double check and make sure there are no other programs interfering with the software

Stuttering with MSI-AB + RivaTuner is usually due to you have RivaTuner setup wrong; or the Monitoring Refresh Time is set way to low (fast). The faster it has to update the monitoring, the more it could impact reaction of other apps; especially if you are running lower specs.
