Steam not responding in Task Manager / Completely freezes PC on startup.
Since yesterday noon i 've encountered a problem with the steam app. It keeps freezing/not responding, and i have to hard reset the PC because it gets unresponsive. After the boot i immediately have to go to the task manager and kill the steam process before it freezes my PC again. Also when i try to start the app from my desktop, it does the same thing all over.

Any solutions?
Btw, i have all the latest drivers installed.

Happens to me sometimes, I close task set steam to high in task manger then lower it after it is on and running . Normally it's fine and boots up good
You can hold down the Windows key and press R, or open the Start menu and choose "Run". Type "msconfig" and press enter. On the "Startup" tab, disable Steam from starting with your PC. That way you won't have that to worry about, at least.

I would suggest reinstalling Steam, following the instructions in the Uninstall Steam support article.

It happened to me before too, but only once, after the hard reset it was normal again. Also i think it has something to do with my downloads. Because when i let the app start and go to downloads to stop the automatic ones it just freezes.

I know about the startup stuff, i am using win 8.1 so it is even easier, i can do it from Task Manager.. I'll try to re-install the app, maybe it'll work.
